Darfar Pot, Stream Sink

Access

Call on Mr Hudson at Dale Farm for permission to approach along river bank from Wetton Mill. Alternatively, walk up dry river bed from Redhurst Bridge. There is a filter grate on Darfar Pot river entrance, & lid on Riverside Swallet; these should be replaced. Darfar Pot Upper Entrance is at top of steep path up gully from grate - beware 5m pitch round corner inside, with further two 5m pitches to floor of Glory Chamber. River can rise quickly - beware! The cave is very flood prone, and its the first cave to be affected if the river floods. Only descend below Glory Chamber in settled conditions. The sump backs up to river level.
